Terms of service

By subscribing to or using rags.cc you accept these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, don't use the service. For questions, contact legal@rags.cc.

1. The service

rags.cc is a SaaS platform for AI-assisted search and Q&A over private knowledge, deployed on AWS. Plans (Starter, Pro, Business, Enterprise) and limits are published at /pricing/.

2. Account and responsibility

You must provide accurate information at registration. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential. You may not share your account with unauthorized third parties. Notify security@rags.cc immediately of any suspected unauthorized access.

3. Acceptable use

You may not: use the service for illegal activities; upload content that infringes third-party rights; attempt to compromise security without authorization; use the service for spam; scrape the service; or reverse-engineer to extract proprietary algorithms. We reserve the right to suspend accounts violating these terms.

4. Pricing and payment

Prices are published at /pricing/ in USD. Billed monthly or annually in advance via Stripe. Exceeding plan limits blocks further queries until the next cycle or upgrade. No prorated refunds except where legally required.

5. Cancellation

Cancel anytime via the Stripe Customer Portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. After cancellation: 30-day read-only grace period, then full data deletion.

6. Data ownership

You own the content you upload. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and return generated answers. We do not use your content to train third-party LLMs or for any purpose outside providing the service. Our Privacy Policy and, if signed, the DPA apply.

7. Intellectual property

rags.cc's software, brand, and documentation belong to the operating legal entity. Your uploaded content remains yours. LLM-generated answers are for the customer's use; we don't guarantee novelty or patentability.

8. Availability and SLAs

SLA per tier (see /pricing/). Scheduled maintenance is announced 48 hours in advance when possible. We don't guarantee the availability of external providers (AWS, Stripe, Bedrock) beyond our control.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, rags.cc's liability is capped at the amount paid by the customer in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect damages, lost data not directly caused by our gross negligence, or lost profits.

10. Limited warranty

The service is provided as is. We do not warrant bug-free operation or that LLM-generated answers are accurate. Answers must be verified by humans before being used for critical decisions, especially in health or legal contexts.

11. Indemnification

The customer will indemnify rags.cc against third-party claims arising from uploaded content or use of the service in violation of these Terms.

12. Modifications

We may modify these Terms. Material changes will be notified 30 days in advance to tenant admin by email. Continued use implies acceptance.

13. Governing law and contact
